Chicago filmfest to show ‘Hit the Road’

Iranian feature ‘Hit the Road’ has been slated to participate in the Chicago International Film Festival in the US.

Panah Panahi’s directorial debut will be on screen at the Comedy section of the 57th edition of the US event.

‘Hit the Road’ tells the story of a couple and their two sons who go on a road journey to a destination that remains mysterious.

Meanwhile, the road trip with all the comedy and drama it entails takes place in the mesmerizing nature of Iran.

The flick has already toured a number of prestigious film events, including the Cannes Film Festival in France and the New Horizons International Film Festival in Poland.

It is also currently on screens at the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland and the Calgary International Film Festival in Canada.

The Chicago festival shows films from around the world. The event is an effort to promote a deeper understanding of diverse cultures.

The 2021 edition of the festival is scheduled for October 13-24, 2021.
